Super Eagles arrive Monrovia for Sierra Leone AFCONQ clash
The Super Eagles have arrived in Monrovia, Liberia ahead of Sunday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
On the morning of Saturday, the players and their officials arrived in Monrovia.
Later in the weekend, the three-time African champions will experience the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, the game’s location.
The Super Eagles only need one point from the match to guarantee their spot in the Cote d’Ivoire 2023 AFCON finals.
With nine points, Jose Peseiro’s team are in second place in Group A, one point behind leaders Guinea-Bissau who have played one game more.
Ripples Nigeria recalls that the reverse fixture of the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone tie from last June, Nigeria defeated Leone Stars 2-1.
The matchday five game will kick off at 5pm Nigeria time.
