Manchester United agree deal for Watford youngster Harry Amass – The Athletic

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign 16-year-old England and Watford left-back Harry Amass.
Amass has agreed a long-term contract with United, understood to be four years. Watford will also receive a compensation fee for the transfer that is being negotiated between clubs.
Amass, a scholar with the Championship side, was involved with the Watford first team last season and was an unused sub for the FA Cup third-round tie with Reading in January aged only 15.

The defender made his England under-15 debut aged 14 in December 2021 and is now part of the England under-16 side.
Amass featured regularly for Watford’s under-18 side last season and put in impressive displays against Everton and Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup. He also featured for the club’s under-21 side.
Amass was seen as one of the brightest prospects at Watford, who also saw another promising young player, Adrian Blake, reject an offer of a professional deal and sign for Dutch side FC Utrecht earlier in the window.
